It’s a beautiful Tuesday my fellow Good Eggs! Today we’re going to keep the positivity rolling! Remember, in difficult situations, find the good!

Today is Tasty Tuesday and this food is known for turning peoples’ frowns upside down!

Tasty Tuesday: Chocolate!

Well, specifically Dark Chocolate. There are many different kinds of chocolate, and granted, chocolate is usually not that good for you. But, some studies have shown that Dark Chocolate (specifically chocolate that has at least 70% cacao) has some pretty sweet (pun intended) benefits. *Keep in mind, the higher the cacao content, the more bitter (sorry!)

Studies have shown that dark chocolate:

Chocolate Fun Facts:

The higher the percentage of cacao, the higher the caffeine content. 2 ounces of 70% cacao contains 50–60 milligrams of caffeine (an 8 oz cup of coffee contains 100–200 milligrams). Coffee + Dark Chocolate and you’ll be lookin’ like this bird:

The smell of chocolate increases certain brain waves which trigger relaxation. Oh yeahhh…

M&Ms were created in 1941 for soldiers to enjoy their chocolate without it melting. Very smart!

Nutella was invented in WWII when an Italian pastry maker mixed hazelnuts into chocolate to ration his cocoa supply. Quite creative!

Cadbury created “The World’s Most Expensive Chocolate Bar” Wispa Gold. It is wrapped in an edible gold leaf and costs $1,430 per bar. Turn that comma into a period and I’ll take it!

The film “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” was financed by Quaker Oats in hopes that it would improve the sales of its Wonka Bar candy. This is why the film was named “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” and not “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” (the title of the book).

Have a great Tuesday!
