Drink Water!

Think, when you wake up in the morning, when is the last time you had a sip of water?

Probably not for at least 7 or 8 hours (hopefully).

Well, what many people don’t do is drink a glass of water. Your body is dehydrated from not getting any water for the whole night. What it really needs is hydration…not coffee.

Benefits of drinking water first thing in the morning:

Helps to hydrate our dehydrated bodies after sleeping

Promotes the healthy routine of hydrating throughout the day

Aids digestion and gets rid of toxins in the body

Makes you feel fuller and prevents your body from mistaking thirst as hunger

Dr. Maria Peña who specializes in obesity medicine at Mount Sinai in New York states, “Proper hydration aids our bodies. It keeps skin plump and joints lubricated. Additionally, drinking water can help with fatigue, often felt in the morning.”

So, make sure water is the first thing you drink in the morning.
