Happy Happy Friday! We have another wonderful Friday. It seems that morning routines are incredibly important for us to have a great day. This blog post by Vanessa Van Edwards called, “Perfect Your Morning Routine with 10 Research Backed Steps”. Here are some things I learned:

1. Choose a time to wake-up everyday so that your body gets into a rhythm.

2. Have a set of easy breakfast options to limit your choices in the morning.

3. Create a simple routine. For example, do you brush your teeth or change into your clothes right after you wake-up? Figure out the simple morning routine structure, so that you know exactly what you’re doing when you get up.

4. Set up barriers. Maybe you don’t want to look at social media right when you wake up. Make a list of things you will not do in the morning.

5. Make your mornings interesting, exciting, or just include something you enjoy doing. Here are some ideas:

6. Start drinking coffee when you start to feel tired. “Research shows that your cortisol levels are naturally higher for the first one-two hours after you wake up.” When your cortisol levels start dropping, then it’s time for your first cup of coffee.

7. When you wake-up try doing a few stretches. When you move your body and stretch, it gives you energy you need to get up and take on the day.

8. Avoid stressful situations, especially in the morning. Try to prep as much as you can the night before, so you don’t leave yourself exhausted for the rest of the day.

Check out the article above for more thoughts and ideas on how to create the best morning routine for yourself. I hope you found this information helpful. Have a wonderful weekend!
