Happy Friday! To complete sleep week, I thought it would be fun to provide you with a 1 minute sleep meditation from Headspace. Check it out here.
Also, I’m sending along a few tips to improve sleep quality from Headspace:
Routine: try going to bed and waking up around the same time. Once in the routine, your body will automatically prepare for sleep and wake up at the normal time.
Sleep Environment: the most successful sleep environment consists of darkness, cool temperatures, and as little noise as possible.
Diet: eating healthy foods and hydrating are very important for healthy sleep.
Stress and Pain: these are huge factors that affect sleep. If you can learn to deal with or eliminate the stress and pain (meditation could be the key), your sleep will improve dramatically.
Physical Activity: regular physical activity can improve your sleep quality.
Bedtime Preparation: Set up a routine around bedtime which calms the mind and body. Avoid technology, and find things that help you relax before you fall asleep.
