Alright, yolks…it’s happening. The Good Egg has finally cracked 😉.
What’s happening? Well, tomorrow is the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of The Good Egg 🎉, which… also happens to be the last day of this daily newsletter 😞.
As many of you may remember, The Good Egg launched around the start of the coronavirus pandemic. When I first put pen to paper, the intention was to find and share small tidbits that might help create happiness for all of us amidst the uncertainty.
My goal: send you all something small EVERY DAY. I truly hope that The Good Egg has provided you with some useful resources and strategies to make your life a little happier each day.
So, as we prepare to say farewell, I’ll share a few fun facts about the newsletter:
1. As of today, there have been 261 Good Egg emails sent to inboxes around the world!
2. Some Good Egg fans (you know who you are) like to refer to me as “The Little Egg”, “Good Egg”, and sometimes just “Egg”. Many readers have also said that they enjoy being referred to as “yolks” and one of my favorite readers referred to herself as a “sometimes scrambled egg”.
3. Over the past 260 days, Good Egg emails have been opened over 25,000 times and have been seen in 15+ states around the US!
As we’ve all learned over the past year, practicing gratitude is just one of the many tools that help form a positive, healthy and happy mind. So, it goes without saying that I am grateful for each of you! Thank you ALL for spreading the word, for supporting the newsletter (and me), and always for your kind messages and thoughts. Those are the happy moments of my day.
So, why is this all coming to an end and why now?!
Well, to create a “happiness” newsletter, I had to find resources and strategies to not only educate myself on the science of happiness, but also to be able to share with all of you. After a year of curating the tips and tricks, I’m ready to direct my time to putting the learnings and lessons into practice. As we’ve all learned, happiness doesn’t just “happen”. It takes time and it takes work.
So, the next year will be focused on applying the learnings each day (and as you’ll read in tomorrow’s note, I may have some more projects up my sleeve).
Check out tomorrow’s email on the next steps for The Good Egg and a final farewell to my favorite yolks.
