Happy Monday! Back to another great week! Waking up, especially on Mondays, can be such a challenge. I find Monday mornings to be quite difficult. My body isn’t in the routine yet of waking up early and it tends to stay with me for the first few hours in the morning.

Here are some ways to become more energized in the morning:

Stay offline for as long as possible in the morning. This gives you time to see how you’re feeling today and focus inward before connecting with the rest of the world.

Get some fresh air or sunlight before you begin your day. Lack of Vitamin D has been proven to negatively affect mood. Get outside, even if it’s just for a few minutes.

Do a quick yoga workout. According to the American College of Sports Medicine, yoga “can increase strength, balance, and flexibility, calm the mind, and reduce stress.”

Meditate for a few minutes. This is your time to focus inward and see how your mind and body are feeling before beginning the day.

Exercise. Morning exercise energizes your body and brain and gets you ready to take on the day…whatever it throws at you.

Enjoy this beautiful Monday!
