Happy Friday! It’s the end of the work week and we’re looking at another wonderful August weekend.

Looking for some fun things to do? Well, yesterday was a rainy day, and I just happened to think…what can people do on rainy days?

As we all know, the weather is going to start to decline as summer ends…looking at the positives right? Well, let’s find ways to enjoy the time, even when the weather isn’t so great ;)

Here are some ideas…

Try a new jigsaw puzzle! Looking for some really cool ones? You can find some here on Amazon.

Try a crossword puzzle. The New York Times newsletter has quick and (not so easy) crosswords. Compete with friends and see who has the fastest time! This link has the daily mini crosswords.

Start a journal or blog. Journal Therapy gives some great tips on how to start journaling, subjects or ideas to think about, and how to finish and reflect on the journaling process. It really makes you want to start journaling (especially on rainy days).

Make your own charcuterie board! Make it as beautiful as you can. Here’s the twist…you can only use the things in your fridge! I’d love to know what people did for this one, especially those of you who avoid going to the grocery store as much as possible.

Try an adult coloring book. These can help keep you calm and relaxed. It’s basically a mindfulness practice. Be in the moment, focus on the lines, the colors, the shapes, and enjoy! You can order some on Amazon here.

Re-read the Harry Potter books. After each book, watch the movie. There’s something about Harry Potter on a cold, rainy day…

Have a wonderful Friday and a fabulous weekend!
